Anti-Aging Skin Care Treatment with Processed Skin Cell Proteins (PSP)

One of the newer technologies that anti-aging skin care consumers are discussing is something called PSP, or Processed Skin Cell Proteins.  The use of PSP is a proprietary technology developed by the cosmeceutical company Neocutis.  Essentially, fetal skin cells are cultured to obtain some unique balance or mixture of skin nutrients based on scientific processes the company has developed.  Some of these nutrients include cytokines, growth factors, and antioxidants.  Why do Neocutis scientists think this makes for a very effective anti-aging ingredient?  Recent studies suggest that aged or photo-aged skin has similar needs to that of wounded skin, meaning that growth factors and other cytokines interact synergistically to begin and stimulate a response similar to the body's natural wound healing response.  Cultured fetal skin cells have been and are successfully used in wound healing treatments, which led Neocutis to researching and discovering whether Processed Skin Cell Proteins could then also be an effective anti-aging skin care ingredient.

As our body ages over time, our skin - being the largest organ of our body - also ages. And when it comes to skin, this aging process can be intensified especially because the skin is in direct contact with the environment and therefore also ages as a consequence of environmental damage. The primary factor that causes this additional aging of the skin is ultraviolet irradiation from the sun. Sun-induced skin aging (also known as photo-aging), like aging due to time, is a cumulative process. Aged and photo-aged skin manifests in fine and deep wrinkles, loss of elasticity, loss of translucency as well as in color and pigmentation changes.

To deliver Processed Skin Cell Protein technology, Neocutis then developed - at the University of Lausanne (Switzerland)  - what it calls its Bio-Restorative Skin Cream, which is an oil-in-water emulsion designed to deliver the Processed Skin Cell Proteins to the skin.  It can be used by itself to help repair and restore skin, or in conjunction with additional moisturizer or sunscreen.

With continued use, the Processed Skin Cell Proteins that come in contact with and are absorbed by your skin will then help your skin renew and rejuvenate, diminishing fine lines and deep wrinkles, helping to restore elasticity, and loss of translucency, as well as helping to give skin a more even consistent tone.

According to the research studies provided by Neocutis and the use of skin restoration technologies generally approved by the global medical industry, that the use of Processed Skin Cell Proteins (PSP) can be effective as an anti-aging skin care ingredient when used properly.  An authorized seller of this product, DrSkinSpa.com is doctor owned and operated and can provide expert answers to questions you may have about this technology.
